Laborer
Perform tasks involving physical labor at bridge and other construction sites; operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, tape measures, saws, concrete finishing tools, and a variety of other equipment and instruments; clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces and shielding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials; and assist other craft workers.

Form Carpenter
Construct and assemble concrete forming systems, according to blueprints and specifications, for forming concrete structures for bridge and other infrastructure work; construct, erect, install, and repair structures and framework using hand and power tools; and interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans.

Operator
Crane Operator: Safely operate various types of lattice boom and rough terrain cranes to lift and move materials for bridge and other infrastructure work; perform daily inspection and preventative maintenance on cranes; read and understand operator’s manuals and load charts; plan and assist with critical lifts; and control crane movement in response to hand signals or radio commands.
Heavy Equipment Operator: Safely operate one or more of the following: excavators, loaders, skid steers, and bulldozers to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete for bridge and other infrastructure work.

Welder
Layout, cut, and weld metal parts of both fixed and movable bridges; fabricate and assemble metal parts to aid in the rehabilitation of bridges; repair and install metal parts on established structures; perform necessary welding work during sheet wall installation, pile driving, and marine work; and work on and assist in the repairs to the metal components (buckets, frames, tracks, blades, etc.) of construction equipment.
